Are you familiar with the My Stuff Bags Foundation? If you are not let me give you an overview of the wonderful work they do.  Established in 1998, the mission of the My Stuff Bags Foundation, a Los Angeles County based 501(c)(3) non-profit, is to provide comfort and hope to America’s children in crisis, especially those rescued from abuse, neglect, and abandonment, through its unique program, My Stuff Bags. My Stuff Bags are individual blue duffels filled with new belongings for children, from newborn infants to teenagers, entering crisis and foster care with nothing of their own.  The items in a My Stuff Bag help improve the quality of rescued children’s lives by addressing their immediate physical and emotional needs. They also ease the transition into a strange new place by providing them with something to do, something to hold on to, and something to call their own at a particularly traumatic, confusing and even fearful time in their young lives. Further, because almost all of the items in a My Stuff Bag are donated and the bags are stuffed by volunteers, the children learn that “lots of people care about them,” which helps their fragile self-esteem in a positive, tangible way.

Mad Bomberz 4th Annual Car Show!

Tomorrow 8/4/12 from 11am to 3pm I will be out at the Nipomo Park for the 4th annual Mad Bomberz Car Show. Join me, many other vendors and the respective car clubs for some good old fashioned family fun! Shop and support a GREAT cause. Marian Cancer Center!!! Live Bands, food and friends!!
